We occasionally see trauma-(we have between 50 and 75 cases per year). We might consider a FP who does not have boarding and residency in EM but has strong experience. Also, ABOM and AABS boards are both acceptable. Most of what you would see would be Level 3 care in the ER. Complex trauma or multi-organ trauma is sent to Salt Lake City or in the event of bad weather, to Grand Junction, CO.
We would offer a $180K guarantee. The guarantee will be paid back by the end of the 12 month guarantee period. The position is paid based on collections and candidate will be part of this independent group that is not subsidized by the hospital. Collections will likely be in the high $275K range with the physician paying taxes, mal practice, and a12% collections fee out of that. Shifts would be shared 1:4. Relocation Paid and possible sign on bonus. They did 750 admissions a year of the 12,0000ED visits. Stable nursing staff, two nurses on the floor. Typically work 1 dayshift of 10 hours, and one 14 hour nightshift, and then off two days.
Shifts/month: Average of 15 with about 1 month vacation. Mal Practice runs about $20-$25K a year. Retirement plan available through the Group.
